Why an octopus?
From the Octopus Rally to 4 Kids’ Smiles
Before it was called 4 Kids’ Smiles, our rally was known as the Octopus Rally. For years, it supported the Octopus Project run by the charity Android34, which provides children with sports prostheses.
The octopus has stayed in our logo, with its big curious eyes and colourful tentacles. Today, those tentacles have become our roads: they reach out in every direction to bring help wherever it is lacking.
A simple but essential belief
Every child deserves to grow up with the fundamental right to smile, to be protected, listened to and supported. Our initiative is aimed at Belgian children aged 2 to 18, whatever their background, culture, language or life story.
Many young people face situations beyond their strength: family difficulties, abuse, mistreatment, neglect, disability, isolation or hardship. Behind these realities lie silent stories and eyes searching for attention. 4 Kids’ Smiles wants to be a helping hand, a safe and caring space where every child can regain confidence, dignity and hope.
To provide help that is useful, humane and respectful, we work with professionals, volunteers and committed partners. We also support recognised institutions such as the King Baudouin Foundation, the Queen Paola Foundation, Accueil Familial and Android34, as well as other organisations that share our values of solidarity and child protection.
Bringing back a child’s smile means giving them the chance to rebuild, to dream again and to look towards a brighter future. Because helping a child today means building a fairer society tomorrow.

- 2023 and 2024The rally is run through Android34, our partner non-profit (VZW).
